Hunt Strategy

The King of the Skies and one of the most iconic monsters in the franchise. Rathalos dominates aerial combat with swooping claw attacks, fireballs, and poisonous talons.

Tips & Strategies

1. 1Flash Bombs ground Rathalos temporarily -- bring 3 Flashbugs to craft more mid-hunt.
2. 2Dragon element weapons deal the most damage, followed by Thunder.
3. 3Talon attacks inflict Poison -- bring Antidotes or Herbal Medicine.
4. 4Break the wings to reduce flying frequency -- it stays grounded much longer.
5. 5Head is weakest to damage in all states -- aim for headshots consistently.

Mount Strategy

Aerial attacks when it hovers for fireball -- use Wirebug to reach it.

Hunt Phases

Becomes more aerial and uses fire more frequently below 50% HP. Enraged state adds fireball combos.
