Getting Started with Bases

  • 1Place a Base Computer to claim land (up to 1000u radius).
  • 2Unlock blueprints from the Construction Research Station on the Anomaly.
  • 3Use Salvaged Data (buried underground) to purchase base blueprints.
  • 4Start with wooden structures, upgrade to metal as you gather resources.
  • 5Each base needs a power source to operate technology.

Power Systems

  • 1Bioreactors burn Carbon for early-game power (needs constant refueling).
  • 2Solar Panels produce 50kP during daytime only. Pair with Batteries 1:1.
  • 3Electromagnetic Generators on EM hotspots provide unlimited 24/7 power.
  • 4Use the Survey Device on your Multi-Tool to find electromagnetic hotspots.
  • 5Wire everything using Electrical Wiring. Proximity switches can hide wires.

Resource Automation

  • 1Place Mineral Extractors on mineral hotspots found with Survey Device.
  • 2Connect extractors to Supply Depots to increase storage capacity.
  • 3Gas Extractors harvest atmospheric gases (Sulphurine, Radon, Nitrogen).
  • 4More extractors on one hotspot reduce individual output. Spread them out.
  • 5Automated mining generates passive income while you explore.

Farming

  • 1Grow plants in Hydroponic Trays or Bio-Domes (outdoor growing also works on correct biomes).
  • 2Star Bulb + Cactus Flesh + Frost Crystal + Solanium = profitable craft chains.
  • 3The Stasis Device and Fusion Ignitor are the most profitable craftable items.
  • 4NipNip can be grown for decorative purposes.
  • 5Harvest timers reset when you leave and return to the base.

Advanced Base Features

  • 1Teleporters connect your bases to the space station network for instant travel.
  • 2Storage Containers (0-9) share inventory across all bases. Build all 10.
  • 3Use Short-Range Teleporters for quick movement within large bases.
  • 4Exocraft Geobays let you summon vehicles from any base with a Geobay.
  • 5Upload your base to make it visible to other players in multiplayer.
