Beginner's Guide to Lethal Company

New employee? Here is everything you need to survive your first shifts.

What is Lethal Company?

  • 1A co-op horror game where you work for "The Company" collecting scrap from abandoned moons.
  • 2You must meet a profit quota every 3 days or everyone is fired (game over).
  • 3Play with 1-4 players. More players means more scrap collected but also more deaths.
  • 4Each moon has indoor facilities full of scrap and monsters. Outdoors has its own dangers.
  • 5You buy equipment from the ship terminal and fly to different moons to scavenge.

First Day Survival

  • 1Start with a free moon: Experimentation or Assurance.
  • 2Buy Flashlights for everyone from the terminal (type "store" then "flashlight").
  • 3Enter the facility together. Never go alone on your first run.
  • 4Grab as much scrap as you can carry and bring it back to the ship.
  • 5Return to the ship BEFORE 6 PM. Nighttime is extremely dangerous outdoors.

Using the Terminal

  • 1Type "moons" to see available destinations and their costs.
  • 2Type "store" to see items for purchase. Then type the item name to buy.
  • 3Type "scan" to see how much scrap is on your current moon.
  • 4Type "switch" to switch the monitor view between teammates.
  • 5The terminal operator can open/close doors and disable turrets remotely.

Selling Scrap

  • 1Fly to "The Company" moon (71-Gordion) to sell your scrap.
  • 2Place scrap on the counter and ring the bell to sell.
  • 3Sell price fluctuates by day - check the terminal for current rates.
  • 4You MUST meet your quota before the deadline or the game ends.
  • 5Sell only enough to meet quota. Save excess for the next round.

Staying Alive

  • 1Health does not regenerate. Avoid ALL damage when possible.
  • 2Most monsters have specific behaviors. Learn their patterns to survive.
  • 3Carry a Walkie-Talkie to communicate with the ship operator.
  • 4The ship operator can see you on the monitor and warn you about monsters.
  • 5When in doubt, drop your scrap and run. Your life is worth more than loot.
