DOOM Eternal Master Levels
The ultimate challenge in DOOM Eternal. Remixed campaign missions with brutal demon compositions, new encounters, and exclusive cosmetic rewards.
What Are Master Levels?
- 1Master Levels are remixed versions of campaign missions with drastically increased difficulty and new demon placements.
- 2Enemy compositions are redesigned: expect Super Heavy demons in arenas that originally had only fodder.
- 3Master Levels have their own progression system with multiple completion tiers and cosmetic rewards.
- 4They are accessible from the main menu after completing the corresponding campaign mission.
- 5Master Levels are considered the ultimate test of DOOM Eternal combat skill.
Available Master Levels
- 1Arc Complex: The first Master Level released. Features dramatically increased demon density and Archvile encounters.
- 2Cultist Base: A fan-favorite early mission remixed with brutal arena encounters and tight ammo management.
- 3Super Gore Nest: One of the most popular Master Levels with excellent arena flow and challenging encounters.
- 4Mars Core: Features the iconic BFG sequence with a Master Level twist. Heavy demons replace fodder throughout.
- 5World Spear and The Holt (DLC): The most recent additions, requiring DLC ownership.
Difficulty Tiers
- 1Master Levels can be played on any base difficulty, but the real challenge is Ultra-Nightmare.
- 2Classic Mode: Play with standard lives. Completing on Nightmare or higher unlocks gold weapon skins.
- 3Ultra-Nightmare: Permadeath. One death restarts the entire Master Level. The ultimate challenge.
- 4Each completion tier rewards unique cosmetics: podium pieces, weapon skins, and player icons.
- 5Start on Hurt Me Plenty to learn the new demon placements before attempting Nightmare or higher.
Strategy Tips
- 1Resource management is critical. Master Levels have fewer fodder demons, so Chainsaw fuel is scarce.
- 2Prioritize Archviles and Buff Totems immediately. Buffed Super Heavy demons can end a run instantly.
- 3Use the Crucible on the most dangerous demons. Save it for Archviles when possible.
- 4Learn the spawn triggers. Many arenas spawn demons based on your position or kill count.
- 5The BFG is your panic button. Save it for the hardest arenas rather than using it early.
