Atlas Guide
Master the Atlas passive tree, map progression, boss encounters, and farming strategies.
What is the Atlas?
- 1The Atlas is the endgame map system in Path of Exile 2, unlocked after completing the campaign.
- 2It features a web of interconnected maps with increasing difficulty and rewards.
- 3Each map has its own layout, boss encounters, and modifier pool.
- 4Progressing through the Atlas unlocks more challenging content and better loot.
Atlas Passive Tree
- 1The Atlas has its own passive tree separate from your character passives.
- 2Atlas passives modify how maps, bosses, and league mechanics behave.
- 3Focus your Atlas passives on 2-3 mechanics you enjoy for maximum profit.
- 4You earn Atlas passive points by completing bonus objectives on maps.
- 5Respec Atlas passives using Orbs of Unmaking.
Map Progression Strategy
- 1Complete all white-tier (T1-T5) maps first to build your Atlas base.
- 2Move to yellow-tier (T6-T10) maps and complete bonus objectives.
- 3Red-tier (T11-T16) maps are the endgame with the best rewards.
- 4Use Orbs of Alchemy on white maps and Vaal Orbs on red maps for bonus completion.
- 5Chain maps efficiently by selling or using maps you have duplicates of.
Boss Encounters
- 1Maven witnesses your boss kills and eventually offers her own encounters.
- 2Shaper and Elder guardians drop fragments for their respective boss fights.
- 3Uber versions of bosses offer the best unique items but require top-tier builds.
- 4Learn boss mechanics by watching the fight first before committing portals.
Farming Strategies
- 1Essence farming: Spec into Essence nodes for guaranteed crafting materials.
- 2Harbinger farming: Stacks of currency shards from every map.
- 3Legion farming: Spec into Legion for high-value splinters and emblems.
- 4Breach farming: Spec into Breach for Breachstones and blessing upgrades.
- 5Mix and match strategies as the league meta evolves.
