Balancing Cult & Dungeon Life

1Alternate between crusades and cult management -- neglecting either side causes problems quickly.
2Before each crusade, ensure followers have food, beds, and clean surroundings to prevent dissent.
3Short crusade runs are fine early on -- return to your cult frequently to address follower needs.
4Time passes in your cult while you crusade, so followers will get hungry and buildings may need repair.
5Use the morning sermon before each crusade to level up and unlock new cult buildings and abilities.

1Build the Shrine first -- it generates devotion which unlocks all other buildings and upgrades.
2Sleeping bags or shelters are critical early -- followers without beds lose faith rapidly overnight.
3A cooking fire lets you prepare meals from raw ingredients; upgrade to a kitchen as soon as possible.
4Farm plots with berry seeds provide reliable food without needing to forage during crusades.
5An outhouse prevents followers from defiling your cult grounds -- place it away from living areas.

1Deliver sermons at the shrine daily to gain cult level XP and unlock new divine inspiration tiers.
2Followers gain individual levels through working, being blessed, and receiving gifts from you.
3Higher-level followers generate more devotion and work faster at assigned tasks around the cult.
4Follower traits are permanent -- recruit followers with positive traits and avoid negative ones.
5Ascend max-level followers through a ritual to gain a powerful permanent bonus and free up a slot.

1Always pick up new weapons when offered -- experiment with all types to find your preferred style.
2Tarot cards stack their effects, so choosing complementary cards creates powerful synergies.
3Dodge rolling is your best defensive tool -- practice timing it through enemy attack patterns.
4Prioritize hearts and healing over damage bonuses until you are comfortable with boss patterns.
5If a crusade run feels too difficult, return home and upgrade your cult before trying again.

1There are four Bishops to defeat in order: Leshy (Darkwood), Heket (Anura), Kallamar (Anchordeep), Shamura (Silk Cradle).
2Each Bishop requires multiple dungeon runs to reach -- you must defeat mini-bosses to unlock their fight.
