Vessel & Spirit Guide
Master the Vessel and Spirit systems in Black Myth: Wukong. Learn how to optimize your loadout for every encounter.
Understanding Vessels
- 1Vessels are magical gourds that provide passive abilities and stat bonuses when equipped.
- 2You can equip one Vessel at a time. Switch between them at Keeper Shrines based on the upcoming challenge.
- 3Each Vessel has a unique effect that triggers under specific conditions (low health, after dodging, on hit).
- 4Upgrading Vessels increases their stat bonuses and sometimes enhances their special effects.
- 5Some Vessels synergize with specific stances. Experiment with combinations for optimal builds.
Spirit System
- 1Spirits are captured essences of defeated enemies that grant passive abilities when equipped.
- 2You can equip multiple Spirits simultaneously. Each Spirit provides a small but stackable bonus.
- 3Spirits are categorized by element: Fire, Ice, Lightning, Poison, and Physical.
- 4Matching Spirit elements creates set bonuses that provide additional stat increases.
- 5Rare Spirits are dropped by boss enemies and provide significantly stronger effects.
Best Vessel Combinations
- 1For aggressive builds: Use Vessels that boost attack power or restore health on hit.
- 2For defensive builds: Equip Vessels that reduce damage taken or provide shields after dodging.
- 3For boss fights: Switch to Vessels with burst damage effects that trigger during stagger windows.
- 4For exploration: Use Vessels that increase item drop rates or reveal hidden paths.
- 5Match your Vessel to your primary stance. Smash benefits from power Vessels, Thrust from speed Vessels.
Upgrading & Collecting
- 1Vessel upgrade materials are found in hidden chests and dropped by elite enemies.
- 2Prioritize upgrading your most-used Vessel first. Materials are scarce in early chapters.
- 3Some Vessels are missable. Explore every side path and defeat all optional bosses.
- 4The Keeper at shrines can preview Vessel effects before you commit materials to upgrading.
- 5Late-game Vessels from Chapters 5 and 6 are significantly more powerful than early ones.
