Integridade estrutural, materiais e dicas de design de base.

Structural Integrity

Every building piece in Valheim has structural integrity. Wood pieces can stack up to about 16m high, while stone pieces can go up to 20m. Iron wood beams provide the strongest support for tall structures. Color coding shows stability: blue is ground-connected, green is stable, yellow is getting weak, orange is near breaking, and red means it will collapse.

Essential Building Materials

Wood is your starting material - easy to find but weak against rain damage. Core Wood from pine trees is stronger. Stone requires an upgraded workbench and provides fireproof walls. Iron-reinforced beams (from the Forge) allow taller structures. Use thatch roofing early, then upgrade to dark wood or stone roofs for durability.

Rain Damage Prevention

Exposed wood takes damage from rain over time. Always build a roof over wooden structures. Stone walls and floors are immune to rain. Use a combination of stone foundations with wooden upper floors for the best protection. Tar from the Plains can be used to waterproof wood pieces.

Defensive Building

Surround your base with raised earth walls using the Hoe - these are indestructible. Dig a moat around your base for additional protection. Place spike walls behind gates. Build your crafting stations in a central, protected room. Keep your portal room on an upper floor away from ground attacks.

Advanced Techniques

Use iron poles for invisible structural support inside walls. Build a chimney by leaving a 1x1 gap in your roof above fireplaces to vent smoke. Create airlocks with double doors for safety. Use wood iron beams as the structural core for the tallest possible buildings. Combine different material types for both aesthetics and function.

Base Location Tips

Build near a shoreline for easy boat access. Meadows biome is the safest location. Black Forest edges provide access to resources while maintaining safety. Always build near a natural rock formation for free structural support. Avoid building too close to Fuling villages or Draugr spawners.
