Passive Skill Tree Guide
Navigate the massive passive skill tree. Understand node categories, keystones, and how to plan your build path.
Understanding the Passive Tree
The passive skill tree in Path of Exile 2 is a vast web of interconnected nodes that define your character build.
Each class starts at a different position on the tree, giving natural access to different node clusters.
There are three types of nodes: small passives (minor bonuses), notable passives (significant bonuses), and keystones (game-changing mechanics with trade-offs).
You earn passive points by leveling up and completing certain quests. Plan your path carefully as respec points are limited.
