Dragonknight
Tank / DPS
The Dragonknight channels the power of fire and ancient dragons. With powerful damage-over-time effects, crowd control, and self-healing, this class is the premier tank in ESO but can also deal devastating melee DPS.
Sorcerer
DPS / Healer
Sorcerers command the power of lightning, summon Daedric creatures, and manipulate dark magic. They are one of the easiest classes to learn with strong passive survivability through shields and pets, making them excellent for solo and group DPS.
Nightblade
DPS / Healer
Nightblades are masters of stealth and shadow, capable of devastating burst damage and self-sustain through siphoning life from enemies. The most complex class to master, but in skilled hands they deal top-tier DPS in both PvE and PvP.
Templar
Healer / DPS
Templars channel the power of the sun and divine light. They are the most natural healers in ESO with powerful group heals and damage mitigation. Their Aedric Spear and Dawn Wrath skill lines also make them capable DPS and off-tanks.
Warden
Healer / Tank
Wardens draw power from nature, commanding animal companions, frost magic, and restorative flora. They are extremely versatile, capable of filling any role effectively. Their Bear Ultimate is iconic, and their frost abilities make them excellent tanks.
Necromancer
DPS / Healer
Necromancers command the dead, raising skeletal minions and detonating corpses for devastating damage. Their unique corpse mechanic adds complexity but rewards skilled players with powerful burst windows. They also bring excellent group utility and healing.
Arcanist
DPS / Healer
The newest class in ESO, Arcanists channel the forbidden knowledge of Hermaeus Mora. Their unique Crux system requires building and spending resources for enhanced abilities. With strong beam attacks, runic healing, and defensive wards, they excel in all roles.
