Understanding the Loop
- 1Dying three times in one time period resets the entire loop. Reprise gives two extra lives.
- 2Items and weapons are lost at loop reset unless infused with Residuum.
- 3Knowledge and leads persist permanently -- you never lose story progress.
- 4Each district changes between time periods. Explore the same place at different times.
- 5Residuum is earned from killing Visionaries and absorbing glowing objects.
Combat Tips
- 1Stealth is often more effective than direct combat against groups.
- 2Kick enemies off ledges for instant kills -- Blackreef is full of cliffs.
- 3Eternalists have predictable patrol routes. Learn them for efficient stealth.
- 4Machete takedowns are silent and instant from behind unaware enemies.
- 5Reprise saves you from death but spawns you nearby -- retreat and heal.
Slab Usage
- 1You start with Reprise. Other Slabs come from killing Visionaries.
- 2Equip two Slabs at once and experiment with combinations.
- 3Shift + Aether is the ultimate stealth combo -- teleport while invisible.
- 4Nexus links enemies so killing one kills all -- devastating for groups.
- 5Upgrade Slabs by killing the same Visionary multiple times across loops.
