Combat Basics
- 1Light attacks are fast but weak. Heavy attacks deal more damage but leave you vulnerable.
- 2Pulse (shield) blocks attacks and can parry with perfect timing for a counter-attack.
- 3Dodge has invincibility frames -- use it to roll through attacks, not away from them.
- 4The Bow is your primary ranged tool and can hit weak points for bonus damage.
- 5Rot Courage builds through dealing damage -- spend it on Rot Actions strategically.
Exploration
- 1Kena is semi-open world -- explore side paths for hidden Rot and collectibles.
- 2Corruption blocks paths. Clear it by finding and destroying the corruption source.
- 3Use the Bow to hit targets that open doors, lower bridges, and activate mechanisms.
- 4Spirit Bombs can destroy corrupted bulbs that block environmental puzzles.
- 5Return to previous areas after gaining new abilities for previously inaccessible items.
Boss Fight Tips
- 1Every boss has a pattern of 2-3 attacks followed by a recovery window.
- 2Use Rot Hammer during recovery windows for maximum damage.
- 3Healing with Rot is essential -- do not save all courage for offense.
- 4Dodge boss attacks that glow red. Block attacks that glow yellow.
- 5Master Spirit Dash for boss fights that require rapid repositioning.
