Inscryption Sigil Guide
Master the key sigils that define card strategies across all acts.
Airborne
- 1Airborne cards fly over enemy cards and deal damage directly to the opponent's scale.
- 2This sigil bypasses all ground-based defenses, making it one of the most powerful offensive sigils.
- 3Combine Airborne with high-power cards to end battles quickly before the opponent can build up defenses.
- 4Counter Airborne cards with the Mighty Leap sigil on your own cards to block aerial attacks.
- 5Birds like the Raven and Vulture naturally have Airborne, but it can be transferred via the Mycologist.
Bifurcated Strike
- 1Bifurcated Strike causes a card to attack the spaces to the left and right of the opposing slot.
- 2This sigil is devastating when the opponent places cards in adjacent lanes, hitting two targets at once.
- 3The Mantis is the most common Bifurcated Strike card and is excellent for its low sacrifice cost.
- 4Combine with high-power boosts from campfires to create a card that clears multiple enemies per turn.
- 5Note that Bifurcated Strike does NOT hit the space directly opposite -- plan your lane placement accordingly.
Mighty Leap
- 1Mighty Leap allows a card to block Airborne attackers that would normally fly over ground defenders.
- 2The Bullfrog is the quintessential Mighty Leap card and is essential for countering bird-heavy strategies.
- 3Place Mighty Leap cards in lanes where you expect aerial threats to protect your scale advantage.
- 4This sigil is purely defensive -- it does not affect the card's own attack targeting.
- 5In later acts, Mighty Leap becomes critical as more enemies use Airborne cards to bypass your board.
Unkillable
- 1Unkillable cards return to your hand when destroyed, providing infinite value over a long match.
- 2The Cockroach is the iconic Unkillable card -- it costs nothing and keeps coming back every turn.
- 3Use Unkillable cards as perpetual sacrifice fodder to fuel expensive blood-cost creatures each turn.
- 4Combining Unkillable with other sigils via the Mycologist creates absurdly powerful recurring threats.
- 5In Act 2, Unkillable works with the bone economy -- dying generates bones while the card returns for free.
Worthy Sacrifice
- 1Worthy Sacrifice makes a card count as three blood sacrifices instead of one when sacrificed.
- 2This sigil enables playing expensive cards like the Grizzly (3 blood) with a single sacrifice.
- 3Cards with Worthy Sacrifice are rare but dramatically accelerate your ability to deploy heavy hitters.
- 4The Black Goat is the most notable Worthy Sacrifice card, serving as a free triple-blood sacrifice.
- 5Combine with Unkillable to create a reusable triple-sacrifice engine that powers your strongest cards every turn.
