DOOM Eternal Level Guide
Complete walkthrough tips, collectible locations, Slayer Gate strategies, and secrets for every DOOM Eternal mission.
Campaign Structure
- 1DOOM Eternal has 13 main campaign missions plus 2 DLC campaigns (The Ancient Gods Part 1 & 2).
- 2Each mission has a combat rating that reflects difficulty. Later missions ramp up demon variety and arena complexity.
- 3Missions are replayable from the Fortress of Doom. Use Mission Select to revisit levels for missed collectibles.
- 4The Fortress of Doom serves as your hub between missions. Explore it thoroughly for weapon points and Sentinel Batteries.
- 5Difficulty can be changed at any time during a mission without penalty.
Collectibles & Secrets
- 1Each level contains hidden collectibles: Codex Pages, Toys, Albums, Cheat Codes, Praetor Suit Points, and Sentinel Crystals.
- 2Praetor Suit Points upgrade your suit abilities: Frag Grenade, Ice Bomb, Flame Belch, and Environment.
- 3Sentinel Crystals increase your max health, armor, or ammo. Finding pairs unlocks powerful passive perks.
- 4Weapon Points unlock weapon mods and mastery challenges. Fully upgrade your most-used weapons first.
- 5Cheat Codes unlock fun modifiers like Infinite Ammo and IDDQD. They disable Slayer Gates when active.
Slayer Gates
- 1Slayer Gates are optional combat challenges found in 6 campaign missions. They require a Slayer Key to enter.
- 2Each Slayer Gate throws waves of increasingly difficult demons in a confined arena.
- 3Completing all 6 Slayer Gates unlocks the Unmakyr, an alternate BFG-type weapon.
- 4Slayer Gates are among the hardest content in the base campaign. Save them for after you have most weapon upgrades.
- 5The Slayer Key is always found somewhere in the same level as its corresponding gate.
Level Completion Tips
- 1Explore every side path before proceeding. Green-lit paths indicate the main route, while side areas hide secrets.
- 2Breakable walls (cracked surfaces) hide secret areas. Punch them or shoot them to reveal passages.
- 3Use the automap station in each level to reveal all item locations on your map.
- 4Sentinel Batteries open locked rooms in the Fortress of Doom. Collect 2 per level when possible.
- 5Question mark icons on the map indicate undiscovered secrets. Revisit missions to find them all.
