Base Location Tips

  • 1Choose flat terrain near ore deposits and trees for easy resource access.
  • 2Build near fast travel points to reduce travel time.
  • 3Avoid building too close to dungeon entrances - enemies may attack your base.
  • 4You can have up to 3 bases simultaneously - spread them across the map.
  • 5Consider elevation for natural defense against ground-based raids.

Essential Base Structures

  • 1Palbox: Your base hub and Pal management center. Build first.
  • 2Wooden/Stone Structures: Walls, floors, and roofs for shelter.
  • 3Feed Box: Keeps your working Pals fed automatically.
  • 4Berry Plantation: Reliable food source for your Pals.
  • 5Campfire/Cooking Pot: Prepare food for yourself and your Pals.
  • 6Crusher/Furnace: Process raw materials into crafting components.

Pal Work Assignment

  • 1Assign Pals based on their Work Suitability levels.
  • 2Kindling Pals (Foxparks, Arsox) for furnaces and cooking.
  • 3Mining Pals (Tombat, Digtoise) for ore nodes in your base.
  • 4Planting/Watering Pals for automated farming.
  • 5Handiwork Pals for crafting stations and assembly lines.
  • 6Transporting Pals move items between stations automatically.

Defense & Security

  • 1Build walls around your base perimeter to block raids.
  • 2Place Sandbag Barricades and Mounted Crossbows at entry points.
  • 3Keep combat Pals stationed at your base for defense.
  • 4Repair damaged structures immediately after raids.
  • 5Use elevated platforms for ranged advantage during attacks.

Optimization Tips

  • 1Keep crafting stations close together to minimize Pal travel time.
  • 2Build dedicated rooms for specific tasks (smelting, cooking, crafting).
  • 3Use multiple Feed Boxes if you have many Pals working.
  • 4Upgrade to Stone and Metal structures as soon as possible.
  • 5Place Hot Springs to restore Pal SAN (sanity) automatically.
