Knockout Taming

  1. 1Render the creature unconscious using tranq arrows, darts, or your fists.
  2. 2Place the preferred food in the creature's inventory.
  3. 3Keep torpor high by feeding Narcoberries or Narcotic.
  4. 4Wait for the taming bar to fill completely.
  5. 5Use a trap (bola, pen, or net) to keep the creature in place.

Passive Taming

  1. 1Approach the creature slowly without threatening it.
  2. 2Place the preferred food in your last hotbar slot.
  3. 3Feed the creature when prompted.
  4. 4Wait for it to become hungry again and feed it repeatedly.
  5. 5Do not attack or get too close between feedings.

Special Taming

  1. 1Some creatures require unique taming methods (egg stealing, impregnation, etc.).
  2. 2Wyverns and Rock Drakes are raised from stolen eggs.
  3. 3Reaper Kings require impregnation by a Reaper Queen.
  4. 4Check each creature's individual page for specific requirements.
