Stage Guide
Strategies and tips for every stage in Vampire Survivors, from Mad Forest to Cappella Magna.
Mad Forest -- The Starting Stage
- 1Mad Forest is the first and most forgiving stage with open terrain and moderate enemy density.
- 2Move in large circles to group enemies together, then turn to clear them with area weapons.
- 3Blue gems from enemies give experience -- the Attractorb passive pulls them toward you automatically.
- 4Elite enemies spawn at 10 and 20 minutes; position yourself with room to dodge their approach.
- 5The stage boss Death appears at 30 minutes -- survival until then is the primary goal for unlocks.
Inlaid Library -- Narrow Corridors
- 1The Library forces horizontal movement through narrow corridors, making area weapons extremely effective.
- 2King Bible and Garlic excel here since enemies can only approach from two directions at most.
- 3Avoid getting cornered -- always keep moving in one direction and loop around through connecting halls.
- 4Experience gems accumulate faster in corridors; use Attractorb to vacuum them from adjacent hallways.
- 5This is the best stage for farming character unlocks due to predictable enemy pathing and dense spawns.
Dairy Plant -- Vertical Challenge
- 1Dairy Plant is a vertically oriented stage with wider spaces and faster enemy types.
- 2Projectile weapons like Knife and Cross perform well due to the long vertical sightlines.
- 3Green Bat enemies move extremely fast -- prioritize move speed bonuses to outrun them.
- 4Floor chicken spawns more frequently here, providing reliable healing throughout the run.
- 5The stage introduces enemy types that split on death; area damage weapons handle them efficiently.
Gallo Tower -- The Ascending Stage
- 1Gallo Tower auto-scrolls upward, removing your ability to backtrack for missed experience gems.
- 2Attractorb is almost mandatory here since you cannot return to collect dropped gems behind you.
- 3Weapons that fire downward or in all directions are more valuable than forward-only projectiles.
- 4Enemy density increases significantly after minute 15 -- have at least two evolved weapons by then.
- 5This stage rewards aggressive builds over defensive ones since you cannot retreat or kite effectively.
Cappella Magna -- The Final Stage
- 1Cappella Magna is the hardest stage with the densest enemy spawns and strongest elite enemies.
- 2Bring a fully planned build -- random weapon choices will not survive past minute 10 here.
- 3Multiple evolution weapons are required; prioritize Hellfire and Unholy Vespers for consistent clearing.
- 4Enemy waves overlap aggressively -- area denial with La Borra and Thunder Loop creates breathing room.
- 5Surviving 30 minutes here unlocks some of the rarest characters and achievements in the game.
