Map Guide

Layout tips, hiding spots, and strategies for every Phasmophobia map from small houses to the massive Asylum.

Tanglewood Street House (Small)

  • 1Tanglewood is the smallest and most beginner-friendly map with only a few rooms to check.
  • 2The garage, basement, and upstairs bedrooms are the most common ghost rooms -- check these first.
  • 3Hiding spots include the basement closet, upstairs bathroom, and the small closet near the front door.
  • 4Temperature sweeping is very fast on this map -- use a thermometer to narrow down the ghost room within seconds.
  • 5Due to its small size, hunts are more dangerous as there is less distance between you and the ghost.

Ridgeview Road House (Medium)

  • 1Ridgeview is a two-story house with a basement, offering more room complexity than Tanglewood.
  • 2The basement is a frequent ghost room -- pay special attention to the large open area and the back room.
  • 3Multiple closets on both floors provide excellent hiding spots during hunts.
  • 4The garage is connected to the house and can sometimes be the ghost room -- do not overlook it.
  • 5Use the breaker box location to your advantage when dealing with Mare or Jinn ghost types.

Grafton Farmhouse (Large)

  • 1Grafton is a large farmhouse with multiple wings, making temperature sweeping essential for efficiency.
  • 2The upstairs hallway and bedrooms are common ghost rooms -- start your sweep from the top floor.
  • 3Long hallways make this map dangerous during hunts -- always know where the nearest hiding spot is.
  • 4The kitchen and living room area on the ground floor have multiple light switches useful against the Mare.
  • 5Sound sensors and motion sensors are particularly valuable on this large map for tracking ghost movement.

Bleasdale Farmhouse

  • 1Bleasdale has a unique layout with an attic accessible via a narrow staircase -- the attic is a frequent ghost room.
  • 2The ground floor has a wraparound design that can be confusing during hunts -- learn the layout beforehand.
  • 3The master bedroom and nursery upstairs are common ghost locations alongside the attic.
  • 4Hiding spots are limited on some floors, so place smudge sticks strategically near investigation areas.
  • 5The front porch and back entrance provide two escape routes -- keep one clear during investigations.

Sunny Meadows Asylum

  • 1The Asylum is one of the largest maps with dozens of rooms spread across multiple floors and wings.
  • 2Team coordination is essential -- split into pairs to cover different wings for temperature sweeping.
  • 3Each wing has a nurses station that serves as a good central checkpoint and hiding location.
  • 4Sound sensors placed at hallway intersections help narrow down the ghost room from the van.
  • 5Bring extra equipment and use the van monitors to manage cameras across the sprawling building.
