Top, Jungle, Mid, Bot, Support roles explained with tips.
🛡️
Top Lane
The isolated island. Top laners are typically tanky bruisers or split-pushers who thrive in 1v1 duels. They serve as frontline engage or side-lane pressure in late game.
Popular Champions: Garen, Darius, Ornn, Mordekaiser, Shen
Tips: Learn wave management, freeze near your tower, and track the enemy jungler. Teleport is essential for impacting bot-side fights.
🌿
Jungle
The map controller. Junglers farm neutral camps, secure objectives (Dragon, Baron), and gank lanes. They dictate the tempo and pace of the game.
Popular Champions: Kayn, Kha'Zix, Evelynn, Rengar, Lee Sin
Tips: Clear efficiently, track the enemy jungler, and prioritize objectives. Ganking is important but not at the cost of your farm.
⚡
Mid Lane
The playmaker. Mid laners are typically burst mages or assassins with high damage and roam potential. They influence both side lanes with roams.
Popular Champions: Zed, Katarina, Syndra, Viktor, Orianna
Tips: Push waves before roaming, ward river for safety, and look for 2v1 opportunities in side lanes. Control ward the pixel brush.
🏹
Bot Lane (ADC)
The late-game carry. Marksmen deal consistent ranged damage and are the primary source of sustained DPS in teamfights. They need farm and items to scale.
Popular Champions: Jinx, Kai'Sa, Vayne, Jhin, Caitlyn
Tips: Focus on CS over kills, position safely in teamfights, and always stay near your support. Never face-check bushes alone.
💛
Support
The enabler. Supports protect carries, provide vision control, and set up plays. They are divided into enchanters (heal/shield) and engage tanks (CC/initiate).
Popular Champions: Thresh, Leona, Lulu, Nautilus, Senna
Tips: Ward constantly, roam mid when your ADC backs, and peel for your carries in teamfights. Control vision around objectives.
