Settings Guide
Recommended crosshair, sensitivity, video, and audio settings.
Mouse & Sensitivity
- 1Use 400 or 800 DPI. Most pros use 400 DPI.
- 2eDPI (DPI x sensitivity) should be between 600-1200 for most players.
- 3Disable mouse acceleration in both Windows and CS2 settings.
- 4Use a large mouse pad (at least 40cm wide) for low sensitivity play.
- 5Raw input ON. This bypasses Windows mouse settings entirely.
Crosshair Settings
- 1Use a static crosshair (Style 4 or 5). Dynamic crosshairs are distracting.
- 2Small crosshair with gap: Size 2, Gap -2, Thickness 1 is a good starting point.
- 3Use a bright color: Green (0/255/0) or Cyan (0/255/255) for visibility.
- 4Disable the center dot unless you prefer it. Most pros play without it.
- 5Import pro crosshairs using crosshair share codes to experiment.
Video Settings
- 1Resolution: 1920x1080 or 1280x960 stretched (for wider player models).
- 2Set all graphics to LOW for maximum FPS. Competitive advantage over visuals.
- 3Shadows on LOW (not off) - you can still see player shadows at minimum.
- 4Multicore Rendering ON. Vertical Sync OFF. Motion Blur OFF.
- 5Aim for 200+ FPS consistently. FPS drops cause input lag.
Audio Settings
- 1Use headphones, never speakers. Directional audio is critical.
- 2Master Volume around 30-50%. Loud enough to hear steps, quiet enough for comfort.
- 3HRTF (3D audio) ON for better directional sound in CS2.
- 4Music volume OFF or very low. Round start music can mask footsteps.
- 5Voice chat volume adjust separately to not overpower game audio.
Key Bindings
- 1Bind grenades to individual keys (e.g., Z=smoke, X=flash, C=molly, V=HE).
- 2Bind jump to scroll wheel for consistent bunny hopping.
- 3Use separate keys for walk and crouch. Never toggle crouch.
- 4Bind bomb to a convenient key for quick access.
- 5Consider binding quick switch to Q for AWP quick-scope.
